Transformation
Giving overlooked materials, objects and spaces a thoughtful second life.

A life and creative practice centred around transformation.
Bobbi Meddings is a fine artist, maker, teacher and creative host whose life and work have always centred around transformation.
After studying sculpture and ceramics, Bobbi went on to lecture in fine art, helping others discover their own creative confidence. Alongside her art practice, she spent years transforming homes using auction finds, recycled materials and overlooked objects — creating soulful spaces from things others might have passed by.
Her philosophy deepened through lived experience: restoring a Grade II listed Welsh stone cottage during lockdown with blood, sweat and tears; creating homes filled with warmth and character; living in and transforming a small Spanish finca in Andalusia; and carrying the generous spirit of mi casa es su casa through her cooking, teaching and making.
Bobbi’s work is rooted in the belief that creativity belongs to everyone. Whether she is making mixed-media art from precious ephemera, designing a beaded doorway curtain, restoring a room, or sharing a vegan meal, her intention is always the same: to nurture, inspire and create a sense of belonging.
“My medium is belonging.”Bobbi Meddings
A practice without hard edges
The studio, the cottage and the kitchen are not separate worlds. Each begins with careful attention: to material, memory, place and the person being welcomed in.
Bobbi brings the same eye to a broken fragment, a room, a plate of food or a student’s first uncertain marks — looking for what is already there and helping it become more fully itself.
Giving overlooked materials, objects and spaces a thoughtful second life.
Helping people trust their instincts and find creative confidence without judgement.
Making art, rooms, meals and experiences that offer warmth and belonging.
“I believe beauty is rarely found in perfection. More often, it is discovered in things that have been loved, mended, weathered and given a second life.”Bobbi Meddings
